Rules

Videos must be student produced. That means students must develop the idea, shoot the video and edit the final product. However at the younger levels (K-5th) it is expected that an advisor will help in the production. Students in levels 6th - 8th may receive video production help - but must develop the idea on their own.

Films MUST be:

  • about Shakespeare's Romeo &Juliet
  • a maximum of 3 minutes in length

Films CAN be:

  • created by an individual or a team
  • a recreation or an adaptation

Important Dates to Remember:

  • April 16, 2010 - Final Film Submission
  • April 30, 2010 - Film Festival

Submissions

Upload

Files should be uploaded to YouTube. The YouTube description should include "this is a submission for the International Shakespeare Film Festival."

Email

Once you have uploaded send an email with a link to your YouTube submission to submit@shakefilmfest.org.

The email should also include:

  • Names of Contestants
  • Address
  • School Name
  • Contest Division
  • Contest Category

If a group is submitting more than entry - please include the multiple YouTube links in the email. Remember all submissions must be 3 minutes or less.
Deadlines

All videos must be submitted by:

11:59 pm on April 16, 2010.
